Bringing Specialised Care to the Settlement
Kyaka is one of Uganda’s refugee settlements. Our mobile healthcare units and telemedicine programmes bring specialised care to families who would otherwise travel for hours to reach it.
Using secure mobile devices, RHCP-trained health workers connect with clinicians in real time — speeding up diagnosis and keeping patients in their community wherever possible.
Mental health support networks and youth leadership programmes run alongside clinical care, so the settlement’s young people are part of the response.
Care Closer to Home in Kyaka
More than 10,000 people served each year and a 75% cut in the time it takes to reach care.
Telemedicine means specialist knowledge travels to the patient — not the other way round.
